Back to article list

8th March 2019

This year, to celebrate British Science Week 2019 (11th-15th March) the South Shore Academy Science Faculty will be simulating an infectious outbreak!

The Science corridor is going to be converted to the ‘South Shore Academy Hospital’ and our teachers will be promoted to Doctors.

KS3 classes will the spending the week learning about epidemics and infectious outbreaks and how science has developed ways to prevent them.

We hope this simulation encourages an interest in science and helps everyone to appreciate the work science has done to improve our lives.

Note: This is a simulation of an infectious outbreak, there is no risk to your health.
