Ruth couldn’t be more excited about joining Bright Futures Educational Trust and is proud to be leading Marton Primary Academy and Nursery.
Ruth was the first member of her family to attend university, studying History at Lancaster. Her passion for learning and commitment to giving all children a chance to shine came from her parents’ unswerving belief in the power of education to break down barriers.
Ruth has worked in teaching for 29 years and began her career in Blackburn. Prior to joining the Trust, she has held two headships in Lancashire and an associate post. Ruth has been at Marton for 11 years and during her time as a leader, she has prioritised academic, social and moral development by working with her team to create a warm, engaging and robust learning environment.
