South Shore Academy are celebrating a 97 per cent pass rate across the board, with a 5 per cent improvement in those students achieving five or more A* – C grades, including Maths and English.
On top of this, students have faired well in the new Attainment 8 and Progress 8 measures. Progress 8, which measures students’ progress from KS2 to KS4, has increased significantly from –0.47 to 0.05, well above the floor standard and showing an overall increase of approximately one third of a grade across the entire cohort.
Commenting on the results, Jane Bailey, Principal at South Shore Academy, said: “We are delighted to see a number of improvements across the board, especially in pupil progress. We congratulate all our students on their hard work and wish them the best of luck as they move on to further education and beyond.”
