During the week commencing Monday 19th March, we ran a full week of activities in aid of Sport Relief.
One of the main objectives was to raise awareness of how sport can have a positive impact on lives and there was no better way than to use Sport Relief week as a tool to engage all our students at South Shore.
Throughout the week we ran a number of challenges including inter form group Question of Sport quiz and speed bounce competitions. All years took part in inter-house basketball tournaments and every lunchtime there were fun challenges in the sports hall from penalty shoot outs, speed stacking, boxing, skipping and bench pressing challenges. This accumulated on Friday where all children in the school were allowed to wear their PE kit to school and during last lesson could run the Sport Relief Mile – we raised an amazing £360 for Sport Relief.
Miss Leach commented “It was an amazing week. A huge thank you to our sports leaders and to all the students who took part”.
