The National School Breakfast Programme
South Shore Academy has joined the Government’s National School Breakfast Programme (NSBP), which is being delivered by the charities Family Action and Magic Breakfast.
Research has proved that a healthy breakfast can provide children with the energy and nutrients they need to thrive by increasing alertness, improving behaviour and raising their motivation to learn. As a NSBP School we are pleased to offer a healthy breakfast, free of charge and available to all.
The programme started on Monday 1st April with students being offered warm buttered bagels on their arrival into school.
At South Shore Academy, we are very proud to be the first high school in the Blackpool area to provide a free and wholesome breakfast for all our students.
