Place2Be is especially helpful in school when, at times, young people might be feeling sad, stressed, anxious or angry due to problems such as bullying , friendship issues or difficulties at home. We help young people develop resilience by supporting them when they are experiencing challenging life issues and helping them to develop self-confidence and lifelong coping skills. When they are supported in this way, they are able to learn more easily and that means less worry for parents.
We treat the content of the sessions with confidentiality unless there are concerns about the student’s safety. We routinely meet with parents to discuss any concerns they may have about their children. Place2Be also runs A Place for Parents, offering parents or carers counselling support in addition to support for their child.
Place2Be also supports teachers and school staff via a consultation service called Place2Think which is to think through the emotional needs of pupils.
