Congratulations to South Shore Academy’s young Engineers who reached the Finals of the Gazette’s Young Engineers of 2015.  Out of 17 participating school’s who entered the competition, south shore Academy came 3rd and were invited back to take part in the Final. The team of 4 students had to create a self propelled Cable car that would travel as far as possible.  Mr Blade commented by saying “the 4 students were an absolute credit to themselves and the school and I could not be prouder of them.  Its a Shame for them, me and the School that they did not take the huge £10,000 1st prize but to come 3rd out of all the schools is a great success. The 4 Students who represented South Shore Academy (left to right) Kieran Boyce, Naomi Kelham, Tom Cox and Aimee Rawcliffe.
